Selecting a puppy, do not expect a nice lineup and prepare to get swarmed
There are over 16 million pages on the internet dealing with how to go about selecting a puppy from a litter and they all contain good advise in one way or another.
However, I clearly remember when I set out to buy my first dog and was invited by a local breeder to take a look at a litter of 13 puppies and how I was completely run over by these rascals the moment they got sight of me.
Within minutes I was covered by muddy paw prints and afterwards my pants showed dozens of little holes left from there loving bite marks.[irp]
But you know what, I loved every minute of it, not in the least because I was lucky enough to find a coal black dog, always my favourite colour, that in the following nine years became the best friend I ever had.
Watching the feisty bunch in this video took me back to that happy moment again
